Thursday 2nd March 2017

In the car on the way home from work, Matt turned to me and said “I like your hair and I like your face and you look good in stripes, I’m so lucky to have you.”

I decided to write this down for my own memories. Maybe for those times when we are driving each other nuts. Or, in 30 years when love feels a little less like falling and a little more like pushing shit uphill. I will look back and remember the tiny trinkets of romance I collected that came together to form our unbreakable bond.

Once we arrived home, I took my pants off and hung them across the end of the bed. They may be bigger pants than I usually wear, but they are still pants. No pants is always preferable. I cooked vegetarian curry in no pants, I watched House of Cards in no pants, I wrote this journal entry in no pants. I have decided there are very few things as lovely as being pant-free in your own house. Adulting has its perks.

Much love, Katie x
