As most people will be returning to work this week, I thought it was a good time to post a corporate outfit. Well, my version of corporate – complete with bright red heels. This Marcs white shirt is the best I have owned and the skirt was a hand-me-down that I had taken in to fit me.

I like the idea of crafting a wardrobe for the working week. One in which you can meet friends for dinner after hours and not feel the need to bolt home for a quick change. In the past, I have not injected much spirit into my weekday outfits – I had the it’s just work-wear mentality and opted to put my money elsewhere. But we spend so much of our lives in these clothes, it makes sense that we should feel good in them. On a Monday morning, coffee and a sartorial pick-me-up may just be the winning combo.

And here are a few snaps – creeping past pretty doorways and indulging in the best vegetarian laksa I ever did eat.

Shirt – Marcs   Skirt – Cue   Shoes – Windsor Smith

Much love xx
