DEBONAIR CHIC

I am going through a stage I like to call debonair chic. I’ve developed such an appreciation for once masculine clothing, made sexy. My current obsession being, the pinstripe blazer.

It evokes imagery in my head of the sort of girl who owns this garment. She enjoys a minimal wardrobe full of good quality staples – soft luxury t-shirts, silk blouses and Chanel ballet flats. She wears the jacket to work with jeans, a white camisole and strappy heeled sandals, so she can meet friends after at a low-lit restaurant. She most definitely wears spicy French perfume and keeps peonies next to the bathtub. She reads the newspaper on the weekend, but if you ask her about current events, she fobs you off by waving her hand with disinterest – she is smart, but she knows it, so there is no need for pointless intellectual debates.
