FOOD TRUCK GARAGE

I have been friends with Marlon for about four years and food has always been a topic of conversation for us. It started at a party in Dunedin when he asked to raid my pantry.

And here we are, four years on, me raiding his wardrobe – standing on the bed, looking at my reflection in the window and trying to figure out if I can pull off his bomber jacket….

If it was just one size smaller he would never see it again.

So, eating out is kinda our thing. With the occasional chat about clothes thrown in, because he is good to me like that.

When I was in Auckland last year we were both on the clean-eating buzz. Now that I’m back, he has maintained his healthy diet, but I seem to have fallen off the chlorophyll wagon, somewhat. Most nights I come home, heat up soup and call it a day.

On Saturday, I wanted some healthy food to counteract a Friday night spent drinking Prosecco. So a couple of kids went to Food Truck Garage in the city. On recommendation, I ordered the Redergise Bowl. A mix of quinoa, beetroot, carrot, currants, baby spinach, flax seeds, almonds and spicy chicken with miso dressing.

It was awesome. Delish food and great service – I can’t wait to go back!

Much love XX
