The 70s are back. And thank god.

The 90s had a revival and I just couldn’t get into the swing. But, the 70s…now this is a trend that I will be embracing. Clothes from this era are so much fun. The 60s and 70s saw a social revolution take place. For this reason, it isn’t just a style, it is a feeling. You can’t look at a woman through a vintage filter, wearing a pair of bell-bottom jeans and a tight cotton tee (often bra-less), without feeling it in your soul. A time when free love, rock & roll and plenty of mind-altering substances reigned supreme.

But what I love so much about this look is that it transcends ‘trendy’. Dressing in 70s pieces doesn’t feel fashionable – it feels like escapism. Like traveling to an exciting time when many conservative walls were being torn down. It isn’t just an immaculate brown suede jacket, it’s a walk down history lane, wearing a little piece of vintage freedom.

Jacket – Vintage (found at Wixii – similar here)   Shirt – similar here   Jeans – Jeune   Shoes – amazing alternatives here   Sunglasses – Ray Ban   Necklace – Country Road

Much love XX
