Somehow, after a ridiculous amount of driving, I have made it to Auckland safe and sound. Leaving Christchurch was harder than it has ever been before. I’m getting soft in my old(er) age and my priorities are shifting. Close friends and family are the most important thing and leaving them behind left a little hole in my heart.
Cue the ugly-red-faced-crying until I hit Kaikoura…
But once I saw the Sky Tower and city lights I felt that familiar pang in my tummy – it was excitement to be back here. I have a great feeling about this year. Good things have been flying at me at a startling pace lately and I’m happy for that to continue. It’s true what they say, mindset is everything. If you can believe that you deserve all the great things you could possibly want and you choose to see setbacks as learning opportunities, a whole new world opens up. One in which all your wishes start to come true.
Currently I am writing to you from this little hub…
I am staying with dear friends whilst I get on my feet and find a nice place. As a blogger, I’m a sucker for a sunny little nook with a view. I think they might have to forcefully place me out on the street when I out-stay my welcome.
Sorry if this post is a little short and a grammatical let-down. I’m tired and I’m not proofing. Instead, the main order of the day is vegetables. Yes, you read it right. I’ve just arrived and all I want is a god-damned carrot. Yesterday I ate the following:
2 x pieces of peanut butter toast
1 x coffee
1 x bacon and eggs
1 x coffee
1 x 10 pack of chicken nuggets with BBQ sauce
1 x packet of burger rings (things got out of hand about three hours from Auckland)
1 x Cookie Time
1 x large awful servo coffee
I feel bloated and undernourished.
Much love XX
