I found these photos whilst clearing out my computer the other day. The second image down was the very first I posted on this blog when I started it six months ago. Often I think that I haven’t moved very far. In terms of my career, my personal development, my relationships, my financial goals. Although I am notoriously hard on myself.

It takes looking back at an image of yourself a short six months ago to realise how far you’ve come. Not only in terms of goals, but in confidence. I look a little terrified of my own power in these images. And I was.

What hasn’t changed is how much I love this dress. I call it my she tuxedo. I feel powerful when I wear it. The dress is completely inappropriate for most occasions. Too sexy for work and too dressy for Friday drinks. But when I see it hanging in the wardrobe, I never regret buying it.

Some dresses are just there to remind us how damn amazing it is to be a woman.
